WHAT IS BIKEJOR?

For the more adventurous, Bikejor is mountain biking with your dog, where the dog is harnessed and attached to a cyclist via a bungee line, on a special bike arm. WHAT KIT IS REQUIRED?

The basic kit for canicrossing with your dog is a well fitted and comfortable harness for your dog, a bungee line to absorb the shock from any pull for both the runner and the dog, and a comfortable waistbelt to enable you to run hands free. For bikejoring with your dog, you will need a well fitted harness for your dog, a bungee line and a specialist bike arm. There are a number of specialist online suppliers available but it is important to get a proper well fitting harness for your dog. Www.k9trailtime.com offer an excellent service to help find the most suitable equipment for dogs and runners.

WHERE CAN I FIND OUT MORE?

The best way to get started is to find a canicross group local to your area. There are many groups across the country who offer social runs or training runs, and are a great way to start your adventure with your dog.
